Crochet
Originally from Houston, TX, Ms. Crochet graduated with her Bachelor's in Music with Teacher Certification from Texas Tech University in 2015. During her time at TTU, she toured four seasons as a performer for Drum Corps International spending the 2010 and 2011 seasons marching baritone for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and 2012 and 2013 marching euphonium for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. After aging out, Ms. Crochet joined the visual staff at the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2015-2017 seasons then returned as an administrator in 2020. In addition to the outdoor marching arts, Ms. Crochet served as the Timing and Penalties Judge for the Texas Color Guard Circuit between 2017-2021 and began serving as the contest director in 2022. Ms. Crochet has been fortunate to collaborate with several band programs across the great state of Texas including Cedar Ridge HS, Round Rock HS, Brazoswood HS, Malakoff HS, Hays HS, and Frenship HS. Ms. Crochet taught elementary music in Round Rock ISD between 2015-2022 and joined the Panther Band Pfamily in August of 2022. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Crochet can be found snacking on hot peppers or checking out the local concert scene. Ms. Crochet currently lives in Austin, TX with her two dogs, axolotls, and small army of house plants.

Trysten Cook grew up in Azle, Texas and graduated from Azle High School in 2018. He then promptly began attending Texas State University in the Fall of 2018, where he studied for five years, earning his Music Education degree with an emphasis on Instrumental Music and Classical Percussion in May of 2023. Mr. Cook has performed with many prestigious ensembles within Central Texas, such as the Texas State Symphony Orchestra, served as Principal Percussionist of the Texas State Wind Symphony, the Texas State Bobcat Marching Band, both Texas State Percussion Ensembles, and the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corp. Most notably, Mr. Cook was a member with Rhythmic Force Percussion, an Independent World Class Indoor Percussion Ensemble based out of Austin, Texas; where he performed as a snare drummer for the 2019 and 2020 seasons and served as Ensemble Captain and Center Marimba throughout the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Mr. Cook has worked with many talented band programs throughout the state of Texas including Weiss High School, Westwood High School, Burleson High School, Azle High School, James Bowie High School, and finally McNeil High School, where he student taught and was the primary percussion technician for three years. Mr. Cook recently finished his first year on staff with Rhythmic Force Percussion as well, serving as one of the Front Ensemble Technicians for the group. In his free time, Mr. Cook enjoys staying active, performing and arranging percussion music, listening to new music and artists from all around the world, and spending time with friends!
